Catherine
Rowe is no stranger to New Jersey theatre audiences. She has been involved in
some 70 productions since settling in Somerset in 1984. Just in the last few
years she has appeared as Helene Hanff in 84 Charing Cross Road at
Off-Broad Street Theatre in Hopewell, Hannah Jarvis in Arcadia at
Playhouse 22 in East Brunswick, Mrs. Antrobus in The Skin of Our Teeth
and Baptista in The Taming of the Shrew at Circle Players in Piscataway,
Blanche Dubois in Ledge Theatre's production of A Streetcar Named Desire,
and Ceil Reardon in And Miss Reardon Drinks a Little at the Villagers
Theatre in Somerset. She has also served as producer and costumer on
productions at the Villagers Theatre, where she is a former member of the board
of trustees. Catherine received a BA degree in Communications from Mississippi
University for Women, and she has taken theatre courses at HB Studio in
Manhattan. She lives in Somerset with her director husband, Rob Pherson, and
their younger daughter Mallory.
