Carol
Thompson received her theater degree from the University of Wisconsin with a
specialty in acting. She made her S`70 debut as Elvira in Blithe Spirit
(`91) and followed with Julia Melville in The Rivals, Olivia in
Twelfth Night, Lady Chiltern in An Ideal Husband, and a delightfully
despicable Lady Sneerwell in The School for Scandal. Additional favorite
roles with S`70 and other area theaters include Maria in The Sound of Music,
Eliza in My Fair Lady, Guinevere in Camelot, Cleopatra in
Antony and Cleopatra, both Gwendolyn and Cecily in separate productions of
The Importance of Being Earnest, Mrs. Fainall in The Way of The World,
and, most recently with S'70 as Agnes in A Delicate Balance. She has performed in twelve Gilbert &
Sullivan operas with the Savoy Company of Philadelphia. Carol has her Master's
degree in Counseling Psychology and works with the Eastern Technology Council as
Vice President for Strategic Services. She is still basking in her latest role
as newlywed with her fellow S`70 member, George Hartpence.
