Charlie
rejoined the company for our 2003 production of The Winslow Boy appearing
as the father, Arthur Winslow. He last tread the S'70 boards in our
1993 production of Sherlock Holmes. More recently, he portrayed Leontes
in Westwind Repertory’s summer production of The Winter’s Tale. With
Westwind he has appeared as Dodge in The Buried Child, Brabantio in
Othello, and Ernest in Design for Living. A local musician, juggler
and playwright, Charlie wrote the longest running show in the history of New
Hope, Pennsylvania, A Catered Affair which ran for 60 weeks at the Tow
Path Dinner Theater, and for which he received an award for acting excellence
from Entertainment Magazine in Philadelphia. His play A National
Treasure, which he wrote with Nathaniel Hartshorne, was produced in Trenton.
Favorite roles include Fagin in Oliver, Alfred P. Doolittle in My Fair
Lady, and Cliff in The Woolgatherer.
