ABOUT THE SHOW
Shaw's popular romantic comedy is also a satirical look at our idealized views of love, and of the glorification of waging war. Written over 125 years ago, it speaks to the current moment, and we aim to take a fast and funny run at this play.

Raina Petkoff: female identifying, mid-20s, though she might be mistaken for younger, a nuanced young person, caught between the black and white thinking of someone still living in their parents' house and a clearer and more compassionate view of the world ****
Catherine Petkoff: female identifying, mid 40s - mid 50s, mother to Raina, strong, runs the household, a mixture of fashionable and practical
Captain Bluntschli: male identifying, early to mid 30s, brave but realistic, smart, wry, warm, honest, carries chocolates in his pockets instead of bullets
Major Paul Petkoff: male identifying, mid 40s - late 50s, father to Raina, Catherine's husband, a decent fellow, but not as impressive as his wife, a little shallow, and easily led
Major Sergius Saranoff: male identifying, mid - late 30s, Raina's fiancé at the top of the show, dashing persona, the "ideal" soldier, but inconsistent, reckless - and deep down he knows it
Louka: female identifying, mid 20s - early 30s, a servant in the home, smart, proud, challenges the status quo
Nicola: male identifying, mid 30s - early 40s, a servant in the home, fiancé to Louka at the top of the show, practical, understands class distinctions, but also ambitious
